Throwback Thursday

I've been jamming out to Hollie Cook and her song 'Walking In The Sand' sounds very familiar to Steel Pulse's 'Rally Round The Flag'.
Not sure if that was on purpose but doesn't matter

Steel Pulse is a reggae band that is from the UK just like Hollie Cook.
So they are today's Throwback.

Break out your tam, do a two step and shake your "locks" wherever you are.
Enjoy =)

Daily Fix of Hair

Today's fix is of Hollie Cook
She's a reggae artiste from the UK. Her feel is very reminiscent of the 60s-70s era of reggae.
Think Dawn Penn meets the Wailers.

Her hair is sick. I'm loving the blonde highlights.
Think I could pull that off? I'm looking for a summer do.

Check out the lovely pics and her music vid for her song 'Body Beat'.
She's rocking some amazing coils in the vid.

I'm a Slacker

Seriously.
When it comes to this blog I am. I've been away so long that the interface has changed :|
That isn't a good sign.

I'm in a bleeeh mood right now concerning my hair.
I feel as if I'm not retaining my length properly so it's stuck at a certain length.

These single strand knots won't go away (GRRRRRR!) and that is causing breakage.
I've cut quite a few out and then I discover more. They seem invincible and know that's not the case.

I don't know what it is that I could do differently when it comes to this problem. I have a feeling it has to do with the weather combined with the fact that I wear my hair out 90% of the time. Also I need to start twisting/braiding my hair at night.

That's whats happening with me right now.

On a more positive note

I may have found a new leave-in conditioner.

More on that later...

How have you guys been holding up with your hair?

Product Alert

So I've been out the loop when it comes to new natural hair products. While I was prancing along on CurlyNikki.. in a comment on this post, I saw someone mention Cantu having a curl cream.

SAY WHAT?!
STOP THE PRESSES!!

I'm excited. I really want to try it. It's the Cantu Shea Butter Coconut Curling Cream
(what's up with all these products and their long behind names?)

If you didn't know, I love the Cantu Leave In Conditioning Cream. It's been on my staple product list for years now and they finally have something geared towards us natural hair women. FINALLY!

If you want to run out and try it, it is available at Walmart I believe for under $7.

Are you interested in trying this product? Have you tried it?
Let me know!
